Four pages nearly done with a fifth started. Really wanted to get an early pack out today but my hands are just not cooperating.
Last night we had a mini celebration of the first anniversary of our reception. We dug the cupcakes out of the freezer, the champagne left over from the wedding day, along with the super cheesy flutes that were a part of the ceremony package. We loved the great big KLUNK sound they made when we toasted to a wonderful year past and cybernetically enhanced long life to come.
And the cupcakes tasted hideous, but well worth the laughter, "Oh yeah, you can taste all the other food that's been in the freezer this year. Mmm, chicken wings!"
After a lovely tuna steak dinner we sat down to watch more of the excellent BBC series Life on Mars. The Football episode was very touching, especially Tyler's speech near the end. It's a well done show and I can't wait to see how it all resolves.

Congrats again on the first year with you two kids!
Is Life on Mars strong enough a show that I should be watching it? I hear good things, and I guess I heard it has kind if a 12 Monkeys vibe to it.
Have you seen The IT Crowd? I hadn't laughed that hard watching BBC since my gf turned me on to The Vicar of Dibley.
A friend loaned us a copy of the IT Crowd but the synching was way off so we could only watch a couple of episodes. Fun concept, good laughs. I think it had a laugh track though which I'm not a fan of. One day we'll get around to watching the rest of them.
As for Life on Mars, we're on series two right now and it's just brilliant. I love the blending of buddy cop drama with creepy David Lynch scariness and twilight Zone speculation. The balance of humour and tenderness is so well done, always skirting the edge of absurdity but keeping it very real and honest. Plus it's beautifully shot.
I don't know if there will be music rights issues for releasing it in the US, hope not, but it's definitely worth getting a multi-region to watch it.
